Joan Finn is a professional street painter or Madonnara .
This art form originated in Italy around the 16th century
when artists called Madonnari would grace the pavement
near churches and plazas with images of the Madonna.

I discovered this art form at a street painting festival in
Kansas City in 1999. I was addicted.
I have performed at several festivals since,
and my work has progressed.
I welcome the challenge of each new work.

As a Touring Artist listed in the
Missouri Arts Council's Roster of Touring Performers,
I am eligible for funding to help pay for my fee (60%).
Eligible Missouri organizations and communities may
apply for funding. Contact me for details.

If you are looking for an exciting visual
attraction to your festival or event, give me a call.
I would love to bring my colorful
chalk art performance to your festival!
